Adapted Tango Pilot Programming
We are seeking participants and volunteers for Adapted Tango pilot programming for people with Parkinson’s disease from summer 2024 through spring 2025. Care partners or caregivers are welcome and encouraged to attend. Each six-week pilot series consists of weekly 1.5 hour classes, with time for:
gentle warm-up exercises
rhythm and balance training
music appreciation
partner work and tango steps
dancing
refreshments and social time
Facilitators are trained in Dr. Madeleine Hackney’s Adapted Tango Fundamentals course, and we will have trained volunteers to support participants. Through a Community Grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation, our Adapted Tango pilot programming is tuition-free for all participants. Learn more and get involved!
